Position               : HSE OFFICER

Job Purpose

To provide effective HSE coordination and representation of company activities at Company’s contracted work sites, ensuring HSE risks are managed according to Company HSE Management Standards.

Qualification

1-      Recognised qualification in occupational health and safety e.g. Certified SHO with DOSH, Malaysia or equivalent International recognized body

2-      Malaysian national essential.

Competencies

1-      Good leadership ability

2-      Good communications skills

3-      Fully knowledgeable in hook-up & commissioning activities

4-      Risk management and risk assessment skills

5-      Ability to conduct HSE Audits

Experience

1-      5 years plus HSE experience in oil and gas exploration and production

2-      Prior experience working in a PSC environment

3-      Working experience with workboats

4-      Offshore working experience essential

5-      Supervisory experience in offshore operations HSE function.

Position Description

1-      Manage HSE issues on the worksite to ensure the effective use of resources and the achievement of HSE plans and objectives.

2-      Provide HSE advice and assistance to Company Site Representative

3-      Liaise with onshore HSE Engineer & Client’s HSE staff to ensure effective use of best practice and consistency in approach to HSE activities.

4-      Promote a risk based approach to HSE management systems and ensure implemented and fit for purpose.

5-      Support the implementation and achievement of targeted HSE objectives and performance measures.

6-      Lead initiatives to promote visible and proactive management commitment and employee involvement in HSE activities.

7-      Review existing training plans and specific campaign training needs, provide training as appropriate and/or facilitate visiting specialist trainers.

8-      Ensure there is an effective system for collecting, storing, analysing, tracking and reporting HSE performance data.

9-      Completion of weekly HSE reports.

10-   Participate in HSE Audits with Client.
