Role of Business Unit

·         Provide technical support to corporate customers using MSC/NOC Support Systems.

·         Handle customer and network faults.

·         Work with respective backend teams to resolve technical outages.

·         Ensure optimal end-to-end uptime of Customer’s network & services.

·         Ensure all faults are tracked, reported to respective teams and recommend workarounds.

·         Monitoring of domestic and regional network to ensure stability.

Responsibilities

·         Fault troubleshooting of OSI Layer’s 1 through 7 including Internet routing protocols.

·         Ensure all monitored and/or reported network faults are managed in terms of recovery and escalation.

·         Handle simple technical change requests (Cisco CLI based) from various ticketing systems.

·         Handle various system service changes (example DNS).

·         Escalate and manage outages with next level teams and media providers.

Requirements:

Technical

·         Cisco Certified Network Associate or practical experience.

·         Knowledge of OSPF, MPLS, IPVPN and basic BGP routing protocols (with practical experience).

·         Knowledge of Internet network and system related services (with practical experience),

·         Must have worked in a Internet Service Provider (ISP) or Telco related company with at least one year working experience,

·         Functional knowledge of Layer 1 Telco equipment (switching devices, NTU, MUX),

Soft Skills

·         Responsible and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task

·         Able to work under pressure

·         Good communication and Customer relationship skills (example managing conference calls, etc)
