Maintenance Engineer (Selangor)
Responsibilities:
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by providing technical support to production and be involved in the development, implementation and maintenance of operations machineries, hence ensuring smooth running of operations. Plans and manages facilities and maintenance resources efficiently and effectively. Works with limited manpower resources to perform facilities maintenance and management functions. Ensure to assist with installation of machineries, examination and testing prior to commissioning and ensure preventive maintenance program is in place an carried out promptly. Analyses breakdown of facilities and machineries, troubleshoot and provide cost estimates for installations, labour (specialist requirement), and to ensure breakdown machine is up and running in the shortest downtime. Provides technical expertise to the company adhering to government regulations and to perform regular maintenance of facilities operation support equipment including HVAC, Compressed Dry Air (CDA), construction feasibility, general building improvement and maintenance, power distribution, grounding, energy management systems, air conditioner system, ventilation fans, air compressors and air dryer systems, vacuum pump systems, chiller and fire prevention/ fire fighting systems and fire alarms. Responsible for facility equipment capacity planning including office and production equipment layouts to minimize operational cost and maximize utilization of facilities and equipment. Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out for facilities and operations equipment as per schedule with minimum facilities downtime to production operations. Controls facilities and maintenance cost to ensure it is within stipulated budget and ensure critical parts and spares are always available. Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production Oversees new process equipment production, productivity and yield improvements. Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities. Liaise with utilities provider such as TNB, BOMBA and other government regulatory bodies on utilities services and compliance issues.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Electrical, Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent. At least 5 year(s) of working experience in manufacturing environment especially in the flexible packaging and printing industry. Sound technical knowledge on machineries and able to be hands on for machine repairs and troubleshooting. PC Literate: Word, Excel and ability to learn other custom made software’s. Required language(s): English and Bahasa Malaysia Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good leadership, people management, teamwork skills and a good team player. Machine & Equipment knowledge (Printing and Converting). Good Technical Knowledge on electrical, PLC’s and drive systems. Good technical skills in mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and control systems. Good understanding and involvement of safety & health practices. Strong problem solving, analytical, and self-driven personality. Able to work independently with minimum supervision. Applicants must be willing to work in Shah Alam, Glenmarie.
